Returning
for cello

Returning is a solo cello work originally written for cellist Arlen Hlusko during her 2019 residency at Rutgers University. The piece explores the sustained sound of the strings as well as chromatic sequencing between phrases. The whole piece depicts a journey—departing and returning.
