for Balinese gamelan

Program Note

This is an experiment combining Korean traditional rhythm patterns, known as Jangdan, with Balinese Gamelan. It introduces Jajinmori 자진모리, Jungjungmori 중중모리, Gutgeori 굿거리, Semachi 세마치, and variations of those rhythms. You can also hear an excerpt of Jindo Arirang in the middle of the piece.
